180 projects that have fulfilled their commitments under the National Programme for beekeeping (2011-2013) will receive subsidies. 1,182 requests for payment were submitted by the end of August 2011. Financial assistance approved for 548 of them amounted to BGN 2.058 million.
The budget of the beekeeping program secured for this year amounted to EUR 6,553,588. Given the amount of financial assistance and requests for payment, the expected absorption of funds will be around 73 percent.
