On Monday Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov will sign an order to transfer 80 dca forest fund of Burgas Municipality. This became clear during the meeting of Minister Naydenov with fishermen from fishing village “Chengene skele”, near Burgas. During the meeting were discussed the problem with the status of illegal fishing buildings in the village. “I am here because this is State Forest Fund and by the law, responsible Minister is Minister of Agriculture and Food”, explained Minister. Before the order being signed, should be changed the land use. After that can be build a legal fishing village.
Municipality plans to build third water channel, along which will be located small fishing huts. Fishing buildings would be preserved, if they suit the requirements to 35 square m area and 5, 2 meters high. We are looking for solution to something that was not done for 35 years. We will do everything that is possible to preserve the live hood of the people, said Minister Naydenov.
Local fishermen’s association and Municipality of Burgas will prepare a project for granting a subsidy to modernize the future fishing port in the village. The aim is to have stable freezing system for revision and preserving of fishes, said Executive Director of Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture Plamen Zahariev.
President of fishing village Stoyan Boev said that fishermen are waiting for this decision almost 35 years and they are glad that their village would be with some statute.
The meeting was attended by Governor of Burgas Konstantin Grebenarov, Major of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov and representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
