In a joint operation experts from Bulgarian Food Safety Agency found in refrigerator of enterprise for processing meat, which is owned by “SVS 98”, a presence of poultry cuts with expired date (311, 87 kg). These products were return from three trade chains – “Billa”, “Fantastico” and “345”. The finding cuts are “Ludogorsko pile”, produced by “Pilko” EOOD and “Dyuk”, produced by “SVS 98” EOOD. Documents are presented for the return of food from the supermarkets. Such action violates traceability of food products and it is contrary to good manufacturing practices as it threatened the health of consumers. To all violators will be drawn acts for establishing an administrative violation.
Currently a change in normative regulation has been prepared. This regulation will explicitly prohibit the return of food products from retail objects in enterprises for food manufacturing and processing.
