Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov took part in an international conference on "Opportunities for development of world agriculture, trends and the role of developing economies”. The meeting was held under the patronage of the third Global Forum for Agricultural Machinery "SIMA" in Paris, France. Deputy Minister Dimitrov made a presentation on the status of the Bulgarian agricultural sector, emphasizing on the importance of the Common Agricultural Policy in Bulgaria on the conference. "Optimal absorption of EU agricultural funds and making conditions for greater transparency in this process are crucial for our country," said Deputy Minister.
Bulgaria’s vision for the future of CAP and a number of facts concerning its application in our country so far were also some of the issues in the presentation. Bulgaria is part of the world's agricultural sector and suffers from all the positive and negative trends in its development. "The main problem is the price instability of agricultural products. This issue should be raised on European and world level for the timely development of tools for prevention, ", pointed out Deputy Minister Dimitrov.
