There is a strong interest towards the credit scheme and so far 53 applications have been received and first credits have already been transferred to the accounts of the candidates. State Fund "Agriculture" launched project crediting under the National Beekeeping Program for three-year period 2011-2013 in March. Thus the fund assists with credit resources the revival of this long tradition of producing honey and bee products in Bulgaria.
Approved projects under the scheme are credited under Measure D of the National Beekeeping Program, namely the purchase of new hives, swarms, clusters and queen mothers. Loans are granted directly by the State Fund "Agriculture" at an interest rate of 6.0% annually and the maximum amount is up to 75% of the approved project costs.
The deadline for applying is 31 July 2012 and applications must be submitted to the regional directorates of the fund to the permanent address of individuals and address of legal registration.
