Director of “Hydromeliorations” Directorate Mr.Harizan Tamahkyarov met with representatives of branch organizations from agricultural sector in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. They discussed the methodology for the pricing setting up of irrigation water. During the next irrigation season, the new methodology envisages the service price of “water-supply for irrigation” to be counted in BGN per dca for single irrigations performed and price in BGN per dca for a season for irrigation of crops throughout the whole irrigation season.
The preparation of the new methodology will be consistent with the views and proposals of all branch organizations of farmers, using the service “water-supply for irrigation”. During the next weeks discussions in different regions of the country are foreseen to be held.
The discussion was attended by representatives of “Irrigation systems” EAD, National Association of Tobacco Producers, representatives of Union of Agricultural Cooperatives and National Rice Producers’ Union.
