Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Byurhan Abazov participates in the Bulgarian-Turkish Business Forum on “Best Practices, Opportunities and Prospects “in Burgas. He presented the competitive advantages of our country's agriculture sector as an investment destination for business.

“Bulgaria as an EU member state applies strictly European policy for food quality and safety throughout the chain of production and marketing of agricultural products and foodstuffs," noted the Deputy Minister. This guaranteed the local consumers and third countries trading partners in that domestic food products are completely safe and of high quality. In our country there is a simplified procedure and administrative burden reduction when the change of use of agricultural land for investment purposes is in question. It enables farmers to build constructions related to land use, whose functions are compatible with its intended purpose, without the need to carry out a procedure for change of agricultural land use for non-agricultural purposes”, pointed Deputy Minister Abazov.

He emphasized that in the next 2014-2020 programming period Bulgaria will receive EU funding in the amount of  EU 7.5 billion for agriculture sector.
