Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov discussed the building of International Center for Diagnosis and Fight against Diseases to Wild Animals in Bulgaria with Mr. Bernar Loze, Chairman of International Council for Game and Wild Conservation (CIC) and Dr. Bernar Vala, General Director of World Organization for Animal Health. Minister Naydenov met with the leaders of the organizations during a work visit in Paris. The project will be implemented until months, as our Embassy in Paris has received a mandate to coordinate and finalize the negotiations.
Minister Naydenov raised the question of strengthening the measures for non-proliferation of FMD from Turkey, as to be used the mechanism for membership of our neighbor in OIE. Mr. Vala undertook to raise more acutely the question in front of Turkey Authorities. He informed Minister Naydenov that OIE has taken the status of Turkey, as a country, free from FMD.
