Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov and Deputy Executive Director of State Fund "Agriculture" said Ivan Kapitanov announced single rates de minimis scheme, according to the type of animal, after a meeting with representatives of the agricultural organizations held in the building of MAF. Animal breeders will receive BGN 60 per cow or she-buffaloes and BGN 10 for sheep and goat-mothers. The deadline for submission of applications under the 2011de minimis scheme campaign ended on 15 July 2011.The totel number of applications submitted to support the animals is 13 210. 4,725 of the applications are for buffaloes, 215,955 for cows, 593,731 and 63 672 for sheep and goat-mothers.
Approved financial resources under the aid amounts to BGN 20 million. On August 12, all approved applicants will receive the full subsidy and financial resources will be disbursed within the same day. The participants in the meeting agreed that farmers to be fully eased, as their contracts to be prepared in advance and they will only have to sign them at the offices of the SFA. They must do that from 25 July to 4 August. The requirement for farmers receiving funds under de minimis is to keep the number of animals supported at 75% by the end of the year. Those who have applied under de minimis scheme, but have obligations to the state will also receive assistance. The aim is more farmers to be supported, became clear at the meeting.
