By January 11, 2013, Bulgarian agricultural producers can submit applications for financing under the scheme for improving the quality of locally produced fruits and vegetables. The aid is available for producers of tomatoes, cucumbers, pepper, apples, cherries, peaches, nectarines and apricots certified by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency.

Eligible candidates need to have at least 0,4 hectares of vegetables or 0,5 hectares of fruits. The subsidy is extended per tonne of certified produce. The support scheme is backed by the European Union.
