Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Georgi Kostov met with Er. Agusan Hermanto and a delegation from the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia.
    
During the meeting, the future cooperation in agriculture between Bulgaria and Indonesia and experience exchange were discussed,. " This meeting is an important step in the development of our relations," said Deputy Minister Kostov as Co-Chair of the Committee on Cooperation.. Bulgaria is an EU member state and as such must follow the mandatory common policies, among which is the Common Agricultural Policy. EU and Indonesia have signed a framework agreement,  covering all areas of cooperation,  on the basis of which our relations will  be built.

Deputy Minister Kostov said that Bulgaria could share its experience in the field of buffalo breeding and technology of making  the unique Bulgarian yoghurt.

Issues that the Indonesian side put  were in the field of agricultural legislation and in particular the storage of grain, as well as the role of government in the face of MAF  for the policy implementation among farmers. Deputy Minister Kostov provided the necessary normative acts to answer the questions raised.

The meeting was attended by Desislava Taneva, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Forestry to the National Assembly.
