Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov met with newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in our country H.E Mr. Rafael Mendívil Peydro. Dr. Naydenov informed the Ambassador for the launch of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency accepted his congratulations. H.E Rafael Mendevil expressed Spain’s will for a stronger presence in the agricultural sector in Bulgaria and especially irrigation and agricultural machinery. Minister Naydenov in his turn pointed out that Spanish companies are welcome in our country with their experience in absorbing of EU funds.He declared his readiness to assist in case of any administrative obstacles that may arise before the Spanish agrobusiness in Bulgaria.
Both officials noted that our countries have similar positions on the change of the Common Agricultural Policy. They discussed the upcoming participation of our country as co-sponsor of the International Hunting Exhibition Venetoria 2011 which will be held in Madrid from 3 to 5 March.
