The number of sheep vaccinated against bluetongue disease stands at 1,012,299 as of March 26, which is some 66% of all the animals in the country 45,530 animals were vaccinated on March 26.
The highest number of vaccinated sheep is reported in Kardzhali District, where it stands at 85.16% of all sheep. In the districts of Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Lovech, Montana, Plovdiv, Rousse, Sliven, Sofia-city, Haskovo, Shumen and Yambol are vaccinated more than 70% of the sheep. All sheep in the country that are over the age of 3 months are subjected to vaccination.
