Minister of Agriculture and Food, Professor Dimitar Grekov met with Heydar Asadov, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan in Baku.
During the meeting both Ministers discussed and approved the text of a memorandum of understanding concerning cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.
The memorandum aims at developing cooperation in the field of agriculture, stock-breeding and plant-growing through joint consultations, exchange of experience, information and scientific research between the two countries.
Mr Grekov also held joint meetings with two Deputy Ministers of Agriculture of Georgia, Otar Danelia and David Galegashvili, with whom he discussed agricultural and food safety issues.
In the frames of his visit Minister Grekov visited the 20th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition, which was held in the capital Baku.
