Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov participated in the meeting of the Management Board of Agricultural Academy, held for the first time under the leadership of the new Chairman Prof. Dr. Georgi Kostov. Minister Naydenov underlines the legality of all actions in changing the management of Agricultural Academy. This is not a political decision, which to be confirmed with the launch of amendments in the Law on the Agricultural Academy. These will guarantee the democracy and competition principle in the work and when choosing the new leadership of the Academy.
The Management Board elected a new Vice-Chairman Associate Professor Dr. Galina Panayotova and a new Scientific Secretary Associate Professor Dr. Margarita Nikolova.
Associate Professor Dr. Galina Panayotova so far has been acting as Director of the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science (IASS) – Ruse.
From 2007 Associated Professor Dr. Margarita Nikolova has been a Dean of Research at the University of Forestry. She manages and coordinates national and international science program and projects in the field of agricultural science.
