Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov and Minister of Agriculture of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H. E. Dr.Fahad Abdulrahman Balgunaim have officially launched the business forum between representatives, related to investments in agricultural sector of Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia. The meeting was held in Big Collegiums in MAF.
This is the first visit of an official delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in our country. Our guests are welcome in the country and Ministry of Agriculture and Food will do everything possible to achieve successful contacts, said Minister Naydenov The setting up of working groups from both countries which will carry out the communication and coordination between the parties concerned was negotiated.
Our foreign guests showed interest to invest in cereals production, which require the presence of a large water resource. Parts of the representatives’ criteria from Saudi Arabia for selection of investment location are favorable natural conditions – fertile soils, climate and water. They mentioned also observation of legislation, transparency in business relations and lack of corruption environment.
H. E. Mr. Saleh Al-Gamdi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Bulgaria and Greece said that the both countries can rely on his support to be able to successfully develop the relations between Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
