Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov opened the round table on"Law for branch organizations in agriculture and the policy of Bulgaria related to the EU CAP for the period 2014-2020" He presented the draft law to President of the European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Mr.Bruno Vannoni and the representatives of various branch organizations in Bulgaria.
The idea for the creation of this law is the implementation of rules and procedures for determination of representative office for branch organizations, said the Deputy Minister. The working group involved in the drafting consists of about 20 different organizations which main goal is the ability to set appropriate criteria for producers and manufacturers of agricultural products. At this point the law was tabled for first reading in the Parliament.
Conditions for membership in a professional organizationin order to be presented at the national level were discussed at the Round Table. This in turn will lead to the formation of a single position of the organizations.Developing of membership criteria and the share of manufacturing nationwide were also discussed during the forum. Representatives of the branch organizations reviewed the pros and cons of this law and unanimously stood behind the idea of the necessity of its adoption.
The round table was jointly organized by the National Federation of Agriculture and Forestry within the Podkrepa Labour Confederation and Friedrich Ebert Foundation. It was attended by Deputy Governor of Smolyan Region Prof. Chavdar Furlanski and Aneliya Nacheva, Chairman of the National Federation of Agriculture and Forestry.
