Chinese State company Tiajin Agro Business Company launched first investment in Bulgaria and in European Union. Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Chinese State Republic Gao Honbin officially cut the ribbon near village of Boynitsa, Vidin District. The investment amounted to EUR 10 million at the first stage, announced Minister Naydenov. Chinese company has granted on lease 20 000 dka land in North Western Bulgaria and especially in Boynitsa. It will grow corn, alfalfa and sunflower. Production will be exported to China.
Tiajin agro Business Company intended to invest another EUR 20 million, as well as additional funds in animal breeding, said Minister. He added that the investment is in the poorest region of EU- village of Boynitsa. I hope that they will revive the economy in this region, said Minister Naydenov.
We hope the project to have success, noted Deputy Minister of Agriculture of China Gao Honbin. Relations between the two countries are good. I hope that Bulgaria and Tiajin Agro Business Company will find place in European markets. Also, Company to develop its business here and economy of Bulgaria.
