They noted that the relationship between both countries in the field of agriculture is excellent and that there are a number of options available that can be used to increase trade. One of them is the cultivation of soybeans, which will receive additional CAP support in this period. Other products Japan has shown its interest in are Bulgarian rose oil and aronia berries.
Minister Groudev said further that Bulgaria has the potential to export quality fruits and vegetables to Japan, while the Bulgarian market has a place for Japanese manufacturers of agricultural machinery. Ambassador Koizumi pointed out that Bulgaria is known in Japan with its favorable climatic conditions associated with the production of yogurt, wine and food.
