17 signals have been registered before noon only for today

The consumer’s hotline 0700 122 999 of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BABH) is working already. Signals can be received every day from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., including on weekends and holidays.

The call is at the price of a local call and for the mobile operators - depending on the tariff plan.

Operators will receive signals and questions related to the agency's activity and send them to the respective Regional Food Safety Directorate. Competent experts will carry out the necessary checks and impose sanctions for violations, then contact customers to inform them about the development of cases. Upon receipt of requests, BFSA’s experts will answer consumers in writing or by telephone.

17 signals have been received before noon only for today. Most calls are made from Sofia. They are connected with the expiry date of the products, lack of sufficient information on labels etc.

Consumers can send alerts and complaints about violations, and express their impressions related to the agency's activity by filling in an electronic form on the agency’s website, www.babh.government.bg.
