Minister of Agriculture and Food Miroslav Naydenov has suggested to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to appoint an agriculture attaché to Paris in an effort to promote Bulgarian agricultural produce on the European market.

The first Bulgarian agriculture attaché will take over the post on April 1, 2011 and will get an accreditation for a period of three years. The appointee is Veselina Evdokimova, director of PR Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Before that she was working in the same position in the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.

Vesselina Evdokimova has extensive managerial experience, as well as rich media and business contacts. Graduate Masters in Sofia University „Political Science ", specialized in foreign policy and national security. "She is to complete her doctorate in political science. She also has specializations in political marketing and advertising. She has specialized in the College of Journalism in Lille, France, knowledge of European media climate, management of personal image and television and multimedia journalism. She has participated in programs of USAID and training to the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Public Administration and European Integration Minister of State Administration.

Agriculture attaches are expected to assist Bulgarian business operators in this strategic sector of the Bulgarian economy. Evdokimova s appointment will bring about additional state budget expenditures the Ministry has clarified as it will facilitate her stay in Paris with its already accepted budget. The Agriculture Ministry mulls also sending attaches in Berlin and Moscow.
