Today, September 19 2011, Bulgarian Food Safety Agency starts massive checks in all enterprises producing fizzy and non-fizzy drinks, juices and fruit drinks. Checks will continue until October 12 2011 and they will be done jointly with Bulgarian Soft Drink Association.
The checks will be focused on technical documentation compliance with the stated composition; if the system for managing of food safety is implementing, which included guides for good hygiene practices; if there is documentation and records, related with ensuring of traceability of the raw materials and its distribution to the market. Fruit drinks will be checked for requirements of their designation and composition. Particular attention will be paid to the proper indication of additions on labels, as well as for additional information, which should be shown, to be informed correctly the end user.
