Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tsvetan Dimitrov met with Mr. Mr. Husamettin Cetinkaya major of town Kumluca, Antalya District, Turkey at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. He is visiting Bulgaria with a delegation, including representatives of agricultural institutions. During the meeting were discussed issues, related to marketing and quality of agricultural production in our country. Deputy Minister Dimitrov said that trade relations between the two countries will depend on observation of quality and safety Requirements.
Experts from the Ministry acquainted Turkish representatives with requirements for standards of fruits and vegetables in European Union. During the meeting were also discussed marketing standards for appearance and size of production, as well as requirements for its growing.
Regional Director of Agriculture of Antalya Mr. Beldrulah Arsin informed that Kumluca Municipality is the main producer of greenhouse fruits and vegetables. He said that a big part of the production is exported both to countries within the EU and third countries.
