“At the moment nobody sells land from the State Land Fund. The Law forbids it and we have no intent to violate it”, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov in response of accusation by the Chairman of National Association of Grain Producer Radoslav Hristov, that Ministry of Agriculture and Food will sell areas from the State Forest Fund to compensate the reduced budget for the next year. “This is just a hypothesis. To become a fact, the legislation have to be amended”, also added Minister Naydenov.
MAF budget for 2012 is lower with 4.1 % while money of the State Fund “Agriculture” for agricultural producers is with BGN 230 million less. These are a lot of money, which have to be compensated in some way, noted Minister.
He appealed for a better dialog between grain producers and institutions. “This dialog should be held in the National Assembly, not in front of media” he said further.
