Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva met with HE Mrs. Nargiz Gurbanova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Bulgaria. The two officials discussed the opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience in agriculture and trade in agricultural products. HE Mrs. Nargiz Gurbanova said that agriculture is a very important sector in Azerbaijan. She showed interest in the exchange of experience in grain production, as our country is a leader in the processing of sunflower oil in Europe.
Minister Taneva in her turn emphasized that diversification of energy sources is important for Bulgarian agriculture and this can reduce the cost of agricultural production and make the country more competitive in the market. HE Mrs. Gurbanova said that Azerbaijan will continue to work for the future energy supply in Bulgaria.
