The Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and Foods has sent 50 seedlings of the traditional Bulgarian rose species to be planted in the mosaic garden near the French town of Lille. The garden was set up in 2004 and it features 21 countries from across the world via their traditional plant species. For the first time now, Bulgaria is presented with its traditional roses. This year’s garden was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to France, Mr. Marin Raykov.

For the first time Bulgaria took part in traditional country and Bulgarian rose is presented in thematic gardens, along with Greece and Turkey.
