On September 21 2011, Wednesday, Expert Committee for ensuring transparency will consider 38 projects for development of non-agricultural activities in rural areas, with total amount BGN 12 million. Applicants declared subsidy for BGN 780 000 under Measure 311 “Diversification toward Non-agricultural Activities” and for over BGN 11 millions under Measure 312 “Support for Establishment and Development of Micro Enterprises”. Some of the projects offer optimization of conditions for rural tourism. Other planned the construction of photovoltaic stations. The Committee will also consider the proposal for building of workshop for production of devices for blood sugar’s measuring.
State Fund “Agriculture” has already approved 19 projects for over BGN 36 million under Rural Development Program. Ten of them foresee investments for nearly BGN 15 millions under Measure 123 “Adding value to agricultural and forestry products”. They will improve the enterprises activity for processing of fruits and vegetables, meat and meat products, as well as wine and vinegar. With part of the funds will be renovated and modernized wine-cellar.
Other nine approved proposals are projects of municipalities with total amount over BGN 21 million. They are under Measure 313 “Promotion of Tourism Activities”, Measure 321 “Basic Services for the Economy and Population in Rural Areas” and Measure 322 “Renovation and Development of Villages”. With the subsidies will be built information center, Aqua Park, water supply and sewage networks, purifying facility. Part of the money will be used for reconstruction of municipal roads, parks and squares.
