The results of food samples taken from the hotel in Kiten, where children were food poisoned proved negative for pathogenic organisms.
After the immediate inspection (10.07.2011) made by experts from Regional Directorate for Food Safety – Burgas, it has been established the presence of a total amount of 185 kg food products of animal origin with incorrect label and expired validity date. All these products will be incinerated. A statement for administrative violation, concerning preservation of products of animal origin without proper labeling and identification marking were issued.
Bulgarian Food Safety Agency continues intensified checks in organized meal place for children. For the period 11.07.2011 to 13.07.2011 a total of 25 checks were made in holiday homes at the territory of International Youth Center –Primorsko and Kiten, Municipality of Primorsko, Burgas District and a total of 11 statements for administrative negligence violation of self control systems conduct and offering products with expired validity date were issued.
