Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov is against increasing of price of the hunting ticket. We withdraw the entire draft-ordinance that was prepared by Executive Forestry Agency and was not concerted with organizations, said Minister after meeting with leadership of National Hunting-Fishery Association – Bulgarian Hunting and Fishery Union. Executive Forestry Agency was prepared the Ordinance for raising price of hunting ticket to BGN 25. The price remains BGN 15, said Minister Naydenov. It is expected 10% growth of foreign hunters in our country this year. We must maintain the growth, Minister explained. 4 500 foreign hunters visited Bulgaria last year. During this year hunters have provided BGN 2 million for birds’ resettlement. A total of 170 000 birds have been resettled.
Minister Naydenov announced further that amendment to the Law on Hunting and Game Preservation is being prepared or entirely new law will be drafted. It will include the deprivation of hunting ticket and even losing the right of hunting if drunken hunters go on hunting.
