“The Government allocates BGN 15 to Irrigation Systems JSC”, announced Minister of Agriculture and Food Prof. Dimitar Grekov after the sitting of the Council of Ministers. The funding is allocated after an approval of the Council of Ministers’ ruling for additional funding.
"Despite being in a critical state, the company continues to perform its main duties, including the maintenance of 21 dams," Minister claimed. He announced that in relation to the adopted Amendments to the Waters Law on, "Irrigation Systems JSC is assigned to carry out a public service for protection against the harmful effects of water throughout the country. For the implementation of this service the company receives compensation from the state budget.
Within a month a report on the state of the company and its future development will be prepared, added the Minister.
