At today’s meeting of Commission on Common Market Organization for Bulgaria was approved amount of EUR 2 562 748 millions, which can be paid as compensation for losses of Bulgarian vegetable producers connected with the crisis of Escherichia coli. The total aid budget for all Member States was increased from EUR 210 millions to EUR 227 millions.
The approved budget for Bulgaria under the scheme corresponded to the requested amount by the country, based on submitted payment request to the Paying Agency to July 11, 2010.
This will allow the country to pay the full amount of compensation, requested by vegetable producers, when they meet the requirements laid down the Regulation № 7 from June 23, 2011 on procedure of implementing emergency measures to support vegetable market
