Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tsvetan Dimitrov met with Romanian State Secretary, who is responsible for the Fisheries sector to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Romania – Dr. Barna Tanchosh.
During the meeting both countries expressed their political will for positive solution of the problem, connecting with Bulgarian Fishery Ship detained in Romania this year. It was decided an agreement to be prepared and signed to ensure taking of immediate measures to quickly solve the problem and prevent similar cases in the future.
Both countries agreed technical meeting to be hold on July 19 2011 in Varna to clarify disputable issue in legislation during the implementation of different European regulations.
The meeting on Romanian side was also attended by Marian Manaila, Director of National Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture, experts from the Fisheries sector to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and representatives of the Border Police.
