Tomorrow, July 19 2011, Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov will take part in a meeting of the Council of European Union of Agriculture and Fisheries in Brussels. According to the preliminary agenda Polish Presidency will present during the meeting its work program on agriculture and fisheries for the second half of 2011.
It is expected the Commission to present a “Green Paper on promotion measures and information provision for agricultural products: a reinforced value-added European strategy for promoting the tastes of Europe”, on which Ministers to exchange views.
In field of Fishery, the Commissioner for Maritime affairs and Fisheries Maria Damanaki, will present a package of measures to reform the Common Fishery Policy, consisting of several legislative proposals and communications of Commission. After the presentation, the Council will launch the reform process by conducting an initial exchange of views on the package.
