Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov visited only state-funded enterprise for preservation of indigenous cattle and sheep breeds "Kabiuk", which employs about 180 people. I'm here to show this precious treasure we have. It is important at this difficult time to maintain the biggest genetic resreve of horses, cattle, sheep and pigs, said Minister Naydenov. A month ago, the area on which the enterprise is located was declared a national historical and archeological reserve - the fourth in Shumen region, which will give us a reason together with the Minister of Culture Mr. Rashidov to ask for the stud farm to receive the maximum of the notified state aid amounting to BGN 1,880,000 million. Until now, the enterprise has taken only BGN 1 million annually, the Minister added. He remembered with nostalgia that his first business trip as Minister of Agriculture was exactly in "Kabiuk" when he came to save the racetrack of the enterprise from privatization.

There were big ambitions during the time, the place to be privatized, as happened with the "Klementina" enterprise in Pleven, but thanks to people like Dimitar Alexandrov, the Governor of Shumen District at the time, this did not happen, said the Minister. He expressed praise for the Director of "Kabiuk” Mr. Plamen Petkov and the Management Board of the enterprise for the job excelently done last year.

During the visit he was accompanied by Acting Governor of Shumen Ralitsa Todorova, MP from GERB Ivaylo Toshev and candidate mayor of the town of Shumen Dimitar Alexandrov.
