The Executive Agency for Fishery and Aquacultures (IARA) will impose restrictions on fishing in 2013 in certain fisheries or zones of fisheries, following an order by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov.
The move backs the need to preserve biodiversity and foster optimum conditions for natural breeding of the populations of fish and other water organisms. Such a ban, in accordance with the Fisheries and Aquacultures Act and coordinated with the Ministry of Environment and Water, is imposed every year.
