There are 1100 farms in Vratza region, the owners of 1,054 from II and III category may apply for investments within the guaranteed budgets if they want to reach appropriate standards by the end of 2011.This became clear during the discussion meeting with farmers in the region today, where guests were the Deputy Governor Valentin Litov, and Director of the Regional Agriculture Directorate in Vratsa Miroslav Komitski.
Farmers are able to apply under Measure 121, as well as for laying hens and milk they may receive state aid in the form of an increase in the subsidy amount. Amendment to the subsidy can be between 5 and 25 percent, said Vladislav Tsvetanov, expert of the of Rural Development Directorate within MAF. The state may grant a five-year loan of more then 1,5 million Euro to these farmers.
Alexander Atanasov from the Rural Development Directorate within MAF introduced Measure 213" Natura 2000 payments for agricultural land”, which will be applied for the first time in our country. All farmers can benefit from the funds under this measure, as long as their lands fall within the ecological network Natura 2000 and thus they can get additional payments to direct payments.
Through agri-environmental payments under Measure 214, the owners will be able to increase their payments for the area. Increasing interest in the measure due to the simplified application procedure. Unfortunately, there is still no sufficient interest in Measure 142 "Setting up producer groups”' but it can be extremely useful for farmers. Moreover, farmers can apply under it throughout the year, explained experts from MAF.
Next week, measures under program will be introduced to farmers in the towns of Haskovo, Kardzhali and Smolyan.
