Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tsvetan Dimitrov met with Deputy Minister of Economy of Republic of Turkey Mr. Ahmed Yakadja in Ministry of Agriculture and Food. During the meeting were discussed the procedures for checks, related with the import of fruits and vegetables at Border Crossing points between the two countries.
On the Turkish side was raised the issue for the size of fees and check methods at the border. Deputy Minister Dimitrov said that for Bulgaria is very important the improving and development of trade relations between Bulgaria and Turkey. It was suggested in the next months to be organized bilateral working groups of experts, which to develop options for lighten the trade activity in observing of EU’s legislation.
On the Bulgarian side was raised the issue, related to exportation of live animals and meat from cattle in Turkey, after there was all veterinary guarantees from the authorities. Turkey undertook to solve this problem faster.
