Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov and Director General of Danone Serdiua PLC Mr. Dieter Schultz discussed cooperation in training of farmers, who own farms of II and III category, and need be modernized to meet the requirements of the Community until the end of 2011, became clear at a meeting in the Ministry
Danone company is ready to provide necessary equipment for the practical training of farmers, desiring to be trained, as  also the training to be part of the Ministry’s information campaign for “Investment and support of livestock farms in the country”was considered as a possibility. Thus, farmers on the spot will become familiar with the technological bases, animal welfare and management of animal nutrition.
On his turn, Deputy Minister Dimitrov briefed Mr. Schultz on the current state of the dairy sector and pointed out that the derogation period ends at the end of 2011. At this stage, 85,000 dairy farms in the country are registered informed the Deputy Minister. Of these, 3,500 are  farms of  I and II category, which produce 60% of milk in the country. Nearly 22,000 farms of  II and III category, which are active on the market and can be modernized or restructured by the end of the year, he  said further. Everyone, wishing  to develop their business in the future, can benefit from the opportunities that the Ministry gives, explained Deputy Minister Dimitrov and specify  the ways  .
