Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov attended the first session of Sofia Stock Exchange for sale of timber. The Minister said that this most transperant way of timber selling would continue. What Mrs. Ninova said the previous day is just a bubble. It does not sound serious for her to be an expert in anti-corruption practices after she has been kicked out of her government. Deals are expected to be worth about BGN 5 million today. The commission we will pay as a state to the six state forest enterprises is 0.2% or BGN 10 000 for each one of them, said the Minister and added further that those commissions would be donated to distressed regions. In his opinion, it is a myth that the commission will reach the value of about BGN 2 million. At the time of Mrs. Ninova the commissions on transactions related to forests were about 30%. This money was given away at that time. Right now, we have fixed 0.2% and this is the minimum which can be handled. We would like everything to be clear to the society and we will continue working in this direction, said Minister Naydenov.
The Chairman of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Wholesale Markets Edward Stoychev also attended the session.
