Bulgaria will ask for another 18 months extension of the term for dairy farms, which have not fulfilled the requirements of EU, announced Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov during the National Livestock Breeding Exhibition in Sliven. The deadline for their closing is until the end of this year. Farms in group II and III will receive a last chance to fulfill the requirements, noted Minister Naydenov and added that the deadlines will be related to implementation of certain requirements of the farms. I hope that European Commission will allow us to receive another 18 months extension, said the Minister.

Bulgaria prepares notification for a state aid of BGN 3 million from EU for animal breeders from regions of Strandzha – Sakar, said also Minister Naydenov. The funds will be for recovery of animal breeding in these regions that were affected from FMD epidemic. Grants will be received next year and with them will be purchased animals, he added.
