The Advisory Council on Tobacco, within the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, has determined distribution of BGN 73 million from the national additional payments for the tobacco-growers for 2011. The subsidies will be paid out for all variety groups as follows: for group variety “Basmi” - 2,04 BGN/kg, for “Kabakulak” - 1,50 BGN/kg, for “Burley” - 1,15 BGN/kg and for “Virginia” - 0,42 BGN/kg. The proposal was accepted with majority by the members of the Council.
