In relation to a statement by MP Dimcho Mihalevski of BSP that, ‘the check executed by EC auditors that finished at the end of last year discovered at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and, in particular, at the managing body headed by Svetlana Boyanova violation of procedural rules and the controlling principles outlined for transparency, honesty, justice of this programme. An inspection has been ordered into the matter by the European Court of Auditors and in the event of a negative outcome and if the auditors’ preliminary findings are confirmed, this would mean suspension of the Rural Development Programme,’ the Ministry of Agriculture and Food states the following:

There are no such conclusions reached after an audit by the European Court of Auditors and no such inspection is being conducted into the matter at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Therefore the claims that financing under the Rural Development Programme will be suspended are completely unfounded.
