“I am glad that Bulgaria will be part of the Expo 2015 Universal Exhibition in Milan, which will be held under the motto “Feeding the planet, energy for life," said the Minister of Agriculture Prof. Dimitar Grekov during the signing of the agreement for Bulgaria's participation at the exhibition that will take place from May 1 to October 31, 2015 in Milan.
“Feeding the planet’s population has been among the most important issues for years for the international community,” the Minister said. "Bulgaria has the ambition to show the world that it can contribute to the solution of the problems,” he pointed out. “The problem has many aspects - the production of quality and safe food, implementation of new technologies and innovations, as well as compliance with food security globally”, he added further.
At the exhibition Bulgaria will occupy area of some 584 square meters. In recent years our country has taken successful part in all famous and approved by the International Bureau of Exhibitions (VIE) international exhibitions as follows: " Lisbon EXPO 1998 "," Hannover Expo 2000 "," Aichi EXPO 2005 "" Expo Zaragoza 2008 "and" Expo Shanghai 2010 .
