Second acceptance of applications for the purchase of individual milk quota for supply and quota for direct sales starts from 17 to 31 January in the Regional Directorates of the Paying Agency. Free qualities for supply amounted to 16 262 384.48 kg, while for direct sale to 1124 588,281 kg. With an ordinance by the Minister of Agriculture and Food a price of BGN 0.15 per kilogram of cow's milk, containing 3.8 % of fat has been established for supply and direct sale for the current quota year.
The first document acceptance for the quota exchange took place from 1 to 31August, 2010 in SFA Paying Agency. The deadline for acceptance of applications for sale expired on 15 November, 2010 Experts from the PA sent notification letters to dairy producers who want to buy allowances, according to the regulatory requirements. Within one month after the buyers pay the due amounts to the Paying Agency, the money will be transfered to approved manufacturers.
After processing of the results it has been established that some of the approved apllications for the quota purchase have not been not paid by applicants. Agriculture Fund has an obligation to redeclare the available quota quantities on the website.
If the quantities available are not traded, they remain in posseion of the seller after the mandatory 5 % which remain in favor of the National Reserve are deducted. The payment of approved for sale individual milk quotas will be done in order of application submittance, made during the period from 1 September to 15 November 2010
Experts from the Technical Inspectorate will inspect on the spot all applications approved for the sale of quota immediately after the transfer of funds and issuance of certificates for the sale of individual quotas.
