Minister of Agriculture, Prof. Dimitar Grekov and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam Cao Đức Phát signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the field of agriculture, livestock breeding and fisheries. This happened during a meeting of the government of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, held within the official visit of the Prime Minister Mr. Oresharski in Vietnam.
Ministry of Agriculture and Food is co-chair of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian - Vietnamese Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation while agricultural sector is an important priority in bilateral relations.
During the visit Minister Grekov had a talk with Vietnamese citizens who have completed their study at the Agricultural University in Plovdiv.
