Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov has ordered full inventory of assets of the abolished Executive Agency “Hydromeliorations”. The reason is the refusal of Bulgarian National Audit Office to certify the financial report of Ministry of Agriculture ad Food for 2010, as one of the main reasons is the lack of clearness about the value and ordering with assets of abolished Agency in the beginning of 2010.
“I personally insist on the report not to be certified with reserves, as it has been done in the years since 2006, because this is not right” said Minister Naydenov. When the Agency was closed liquidation commission has established the lack of almost the whole accounting database, software and paper for material assets of Agency. The case is submitted to Prosecutor’s Office and is prepared legal procedure against unknown performer. Missing data are for reservoirs, buildings, hydromeliorative systems and equipments, dikes, regulations of rivers and other. It is expected the uncounted assets to be amounted to BGN 300 million. Despite the lack of accounting data in 2010 Ministry of Agriculture and Food filed 11 dam lakes for BGN 182, this year and another 3 dam lakes for BGN 9 million. It is not clear how much worth 8 dam lakes and many other facilities.
Minister Naydenov talked with Chairman of Audit Office Valeri Dimitrov in delivering of audit report last Friday. He assured him that after receiving the recommendations of the audit team will be made an inventory and assessment of property, as for the purpose will be done contract for an external valuer. It is necessary a competition to be announced for firm, which to evaluate 8 dam lakes, 27 Danube dams, 75 draining pumping stations, and another facilities, said Minister Naydenov. Mr. Dimitrov noted that Audit Office will give six months to Ministry of Agriculture and Food to correct its report.
