Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov turned the first sod of water cycle in the village of Shipkovo, Troyan Municipality. The project is worth BGN 3 536 844, provided under Measure 321 “Basic Services for the Economy and Population in Rural Areas” of Rural Development Program 2007-2013. During the meeting Minister Naydenov announced that the amount of projects under all measures of RDP for Lovech Municipality amounted to BGN 69 471 918, from which almost 50% are paid.
Minister used the occasion to present the new Deputy Executive Director of State Fund “Agriculture” Vasil Grudev, whose sphere will be technical inspectorate. About the questions of journalists for the yesterday’s retirement of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Minister Naydenov said that an Associate Professor Kostov has fulfilled his duties at the current position. He remains as a President of Agricultural Academy with the task to carry out the necessary reforms. For the present, is not intended appointment of new Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food for the vacated position by George Kostov, added Minister Naydenov.
The event was attended by Governor of Lovech District – Mr. Nikolay Nankov and Major of Troyan Municipality – Minko Akimov.
