The payment of subsidies under National Beekeeping Program for financial 2011 has end. 1 160 beekeepers receive subsidy. The budget in the direction for the current year amounted to BGN 6 553 500. Regarding the transferred financial aid, Paying Agency has given absorption of 70%.
For the serial year the highest interest is registered under the Measure, with which is supported the purchase of new beehives. Total 857 beekeepers has renovated their farm equipment for nearly BGN 3 148 000.
Most candidates are from Varna District – 272. In Pleven District are supported 129 candidates, and in Razgrad – 121.
The final changes in “National Beekeeping Program for three-year period 2011 – 2013” have already been approved by European Commission. With them will be optimized the procedures on application acceptance for supporting in new financial period.
By the end of November on the web-site of State Fund “Agriculture” will be published the new documents for applying, and the acceptance is expected to begin in December.
