European Commission has approved three promotional programs with Decision for implementation of Commission C (2011) 8761 from 30.11.2011. The first program is Bulgarian-Romanian for promotion of wine to the Russian and Chinese markets. Bulgarian organization is “Trakiya”.

Another two programs are for the promotion of yogurt, cheese and yellow cheese. First of them is submitted by Association of Dairy Processors in Bulgaria and they will attack markets of Australia and United Arab Emirates. Another program comes from National Association of dairy processors and it is directed to Russian and Brazilian markets. To total financing of programs is nearly EUR 9.5 million. Within this campaign Bulgaria ranks the second as of number of approved programs and size of financing. European Commission has rejected 30% of all programs, submitted by Member-States of European Union.

Half of the projects’ budget is secured by the EU, 30% are co-financing from State Fund “Agriculture”, and beneficiaries should have 20% of funds.

The three organizations will conclude contracts with State Fund “Agriculture” for the program implementation.

Approved promotional programs “Interstate program for promotion of wine to third countries (Russia and China)”, “European Diary Products every day” (Australia and United Arab Emirates) and “Promotion of diary products in third countries” (Russia and Brazil) will contribute to the development of important sectors of Bulgarian Agriculture-sector “Milk and dairy products” and sector “Wine”.
