Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov opened office of Bulgarian Food Safety Agency in Veliko Tarnovo. This office unified all sections of Bulgarian Food Safety Agency. Repair and equipment of building amounted to BGN 250 000, which are allocated from the budget of MAF. Minister Naydenov noted that the move of structures of BFSA in Veliko Tarnovo to one place will optimize the work of Agency. It has four laboratories in which are made tests for diseases of mad cow, classic swine plague and foot-and-mouth disease.
Chairman of BFSA in Veliko Tarnovo Dr. Spasov commented that only from security of the building will be saved over BGN 3000 a month.
The opening was also attended by Major of the town Daniel Panov, regional Governor an Associate Professor Pencho Penchev and MP of GERB Hristo Hristov.
